About

About — Why “A Crooked Walk”

The Heart Behind the Name

Most of us don’t walk a straight line to God. We circle, stumble, sprint, and stop.
There is only one person who has ever walked this earth without sin — Jesus Christ.
The rest of us walk a crooked path.

A Crooked Walk was born from the conviction that God’s love is steady
even when our steps are not. This site is open to believers, seekers, followers,
and even those who aren’t sure what they believe yet. It is not here to force anyone
into faith, but to offer a safe, authentic place to learn, grow, and discover that
God meets us where we are. In His presence, we are always welcome.

The Purpose

  • Remind the weary that rest is possible.
  • Assure the searching that truth doesn’t come with pressure.
  • Comfort the wounded with words that do no harm.
  • Encourage the hopeful to take one more step.

Here, you’ll find gentle reflections, Scripture for real life, and practical ways to grow closer to God.

The Vision

The vision for A Crooked Walk is simple: to help people understand that while our paths may be crooked, God’s grace straightens the way forward. Everyone has the option to develop a personal relationship with Him — not through perfection, but through honesty, faith, and small steps of surrender.

The Invitation

This is not a place of shame, debates, or pressure. It’s not “do more, try harder” religion. Instead, it’s an invitation:

  • To read and rest in short reflections.
  • To bring doubts and questions honestly.
  • To share prayer requests and know you are not alone.
  • To walk with others, one step at a time.

The Story

In August 2024, while reflecting on my life and my faith in God, the phrase “A Crooked Walk” came to my heart. I thought: that is exactly how my walk with the Lord has been — imperfect, stumbling, but always led back by His grace.

From childhood, church has been part of my life. There have been seasons of faithful attendance, and times of absence. I’ve stood in church and cried while singing or listening to sermons, feeling God’s presence. And I’ve also known seasons of struggle, doubt, and distance.

Out of that reflection, this site was born. Not to lift up my story, but to create a quiet corner where others can see that their crooked walk is not the end of the story. God’s love is steady, His presence is real, and His grace meets us right where we are.
